Located on beautiful Oak Beach, “Ocean’s Edge” is an architect-designed luxury beach holiday house, just a short distance from the vibrant town of Port Douglas, Queensland. Commanding an absolute beachfront position, this stunning two-storey holiday accommodation can be a luxury holiday home for up to 6 guests in three beautiful large bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. Having three large suites makes it an ideal luxury tropical escape for a small group or family.
Being only 15 minutes’ drive from Port Douglas, “Ocean’s Edge “is the perfect base to discover this beautiful heritage area .The Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef are both within easy reach. The area also has an abundance of cafes, award winning restaurants, beautiful spas and numerous attractions to be enjoyed by young and old.
Contemporary in style, this chic beach home has recently undergone a complete make-over, bringing a whole new level of luxury and style.
The open plan chef’s kitchen has high quality European appliances and is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy cooking at home. Choose to dine inside facing the elevated panoramic view, or outside on the vast stone dining terrace with its solid wood dining table and comfortable chairs.
There is also a separate TV lounge that features endless views of the Coral Sea, with large glass doors that open out to the expansive terrace. There is even a downstairs games/rumpus room with a pool table and table tennis table that is an ideal space for the children to hang out while the adults enjoy the peace of the lounge upstairs.
Relax on the sun loungers beside the beach-side saltwater swimming pool or from the daybeds on the raised terrace whilst gazing out to sea. Ocean’s Edge holiday home offers the best Coral Sea views of any accommodation on the beach!
This luxurious tropical beach house features 3 king-size suites which can be split into singles depending on your needs. Also, unlike other beach houses on Oak Beach this house has the advantage of individual bathrooms for each of the three bedrooms. No sharing ! The master suite on the first floor, has colonial style shutters, which with its elevated position offers spectacular ocean views.
It has an enormous marble ensuite, with a full size bath tub and double basins for added luxury. The second bedroom suite on the ground floor has direct access straight on to the beach. The third spacious bedroom suite, also on the ground floor, provides a tranquil bedroom with a tropical garden setting. All of these beautiful suites have private lounge areas.
No functions or parties are allowed without prior approval.

Questions You May Have
Can you swim at Oak Beach?
You can outside stinger season. The beach is not patrolled and does not have shark or stinger nets. Swimming would carry certain risks. There is a wonderful swimming pool at the property which provides an attractive alternative to swimming in the sea.
When is stinger season in North Qld?
Stinger season is during the warmer months when the ocean temperatures heat up, generally November to April (although it can even be October to May) Stinger suits are advisable though do not provide 100% protection.
Can I have a wedding at Oak Beach?
The house is not licensed for weddings. If you are considering a wedding on the beach you must seek council approval and if you are wishing for the reception to be at the house, you must advise us PRIOR to booking so that we have the option to decline or approve your request. If it is approved, there will be an additional charge.
How far is Oak Beach from Port Douglas and Cairns?
Oak Beach is approximately 15 minutes drive south of Port Douglas and 45 minutes drive north of Cairns.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
There are several supermarkets in Port Douglas approximately 15 minutes drive north of Oak Beach. A wonderful service ‘Please Shop For Me’ will home deliver groceries and even unpack them in time for your arrival. Please ask us.
Do I need a car when holidaying at Oak Beach?
It is necessary for you rent a car to get to the local supermarket and to explore the many attractions the area offers.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Check in is usually from 2pm and Check out is usually by 10am. During the busy months June to October no earlier check ins or late check outs are possible sorry. Outside of these months it would depend on adjacent bookings. Please check with us closer to your arrival time.
